In this lecture series we’ll discuss the art of curating and view two extraordinary exhibitions of Indigenous art: Resilience, curated by this year’s Governor General Award winner, Lee Ann Martin (Mohawk) and Sakkijâjuk, curated by Labrador Inuk Dr. Heather Igloliorte of Concordia University. Lee-Ann has agreed to present her 2018 exhibition, Resilience, in one class. The last class will be a tour of the upcoming exhibition of global Indigenous art at the National Gallery of Canada, Abadâkone/Continuous Fire.
