Tom Shoebridge has been teaching script-writing, film and communications for over 40 years. He is the creator and designer of Canada’s first year-long, full-time graduate script-writing program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, where he still lectures occasionally.
Tom has been involved in many facets of the film industry, both through the National Film Board and internationally, mainly as a screen writer, but also as consultant and mentor to others. His knowledge of the industry provides a fascinating window into what most people consider pure entertainment. Tom offers an insider’s guide on how to appreciate the various aspects of movie making, from the earliest silent films to the latest animated productions.
As Tom told his class: “You will never look at movies the same way again!”
